The Ridges was a collaborative group project. I was grouped with two very talented peers and since The Ridges had three adjoined but separate wings, each of us had our own building wing to renovate. The problem of the project was to figure out what business to include in each wing which would serve the community. We decided through benchmarking, we should include ways to bring the community to the building with businesses the people needed on a daily basis. My theme was knowledge and social networking. My floor included a manager, guard and staff room, a receptionist, library, business center, game room, a coffee and wine shop, banking, sitting area, bakery and gift shop. We each implemented egress, paths of travel, materials and furnishings.
